Interesting background, by the way…
ReplyDeleteI did not know that ThinkProgress.org existed, and so I know nothing about it. I was very surprised that they were opposed to the “radical right wing agenda” and also opposed to spending on environmental issues like global warming. I thought that since this was a liberal group, they would be more concerned with the environment. I was also surprised that they were against TSA screenings, because I was under the impression that liberals wanted more airport security and were willing to sacrifice privacy (and nowadays dignity) for the “war on terror”.
Great job on your blog! I found your information very concise and clear.
One thing I thought was really interesting was that Think Progress wants to "outlaw" spending on environmental causes, especially becuase my group had Greenpeace and the Sierra Club.
ReplyDeleteLike Alison I also had Greenpeace and the Sierra Club and I find it interesting that ThinkProgress.org does not support spending on environmental issues. Since ThinkProgress.org is a liberal interest group, I expected them to support helping with environmental issues as liberals tend to focus more on such problems.
ReplyDeleteOK, a couple things here. If you look at ThinkProgress, they are towing the line. Anti-Environmental+Republican. I was under the impression they were conservative so we may need to follow up here.
ReplyDeleteGood work on MOveon. But I don't get your background at all.
